Description:

I purchase the car in 2009. Drove in for a few years with normal maintenance and replacing tires.
Then I began buying replacement parts. Found as many parts as I could with lifetime warranties.
Then I met the RIGHT mechanic to do the job in 2014.
At that time I had the air conditioning charged with R12. AND had the engine DE-CARBONED. The engine response and power was amazing!
Then I made the appointment to go through the car.
The engine was pulled. It was taken apart, except the head WAS NOT REMOVED. Upon inspection, the gasket was in very good condition. No leaks. So we decided to leave it in place.
Valve covers and oil pan was removed. Timing chain cover was removed. There was oil in the timing chain compartment that was very thick, as well as the oil pan. That was all cleaned.
Timing chain and gears were replaced. New valve stem seals. New oil pump and new oil pan gasket. The magnets inside the oil pan had no metal fragments.
The engine block was cleaned. All engine exterior parts were cleaned and inspected. No cracks in block.
All exterior parts, such as alternator, all air conditioning components and radiator were inspected. Alternator and radiator was replaced. Radiator was the best we could find. Aluminum. All air conditioning O rings replaced.
All steering components cleaned and checked. A couple of parts were replaced, but I don't remember the names. The steering is instantly reactive. No play whatsoever. Took a bit of getting used to.
Engine returned to the car, with a new transmission. All vacuum lines replaced. All relays switches replaced. All wires inspected and checked and wrapped.
New dust cover replaced the old one that was oily, dirty and torn.
It was found that one of the oil sensors, there are two in the oil pan, leaks. Couldn't find replacement at the time. Not made any longer. Did find one later, but haven't installed it yet.

FRONT END

COMPLETE FRONT END OVERHAUL. All bushings replaced. Work done on wishbones. New shocks, idler arm and center drag. New rotors, brakes and bearings. New front stabilizers. New Uniroyal "Tiger Paws" all the way around and new spare. Front end cleaned and inspected.
Rear end inspected, cleaned and new grease installed. Rear brakes cleaned and checked. Very good condition.
New fuel pump installed and all gas lines and gas tank inspected.
The power and performance of this car is excellent. After work was done, drove 350 miles on 3/4 tank of gas. NICE SMOOTH RIDE!
