I bought this project truck for my 50th birthday, with the intention of getting the truck up and running for casual drives, participating in local parades, and taking it to car shows. Once it was refurbished, I realized the more I sat and drove in it, my 6’4” height made it a challenge to experience a comfortable drive. Deciding on the practicality of keeping this truck, I made the difficult decision to let this beautiful truck go.
The work that has been completed with this 1949 Studebaker R5 is the following:
Frame was taken off, sand blasted, and repainted
Engine gasket replacement
All wheel cylinder rebuild
Rebuild master cylinder
Some body work and paint job
New Front and Rear new windows, and all new window seats
3 new wiring harness
Some new chrome
Inner door panels powder coated white
Tire rims powder coated red
New 6 volt battery
Reused 90% of original parts
Rebuilt generator
Re-core radiator
