Description:
1956 Jeep CJ5 Soft Top, Complete frame and body off restoration.
Body was completely bead blasted, epoxy primer and rotisserie painted with FORD screaming yellow epoxy paint.
All smaller parts including drive shafts are powder coated.
All the steering components were replaced with new parts from Kaiser Willys
New taper leaf springs for the front and rear.
Any item that was a wear spot was replaced with new part from Kaiser Willys.
The radiator core is new along with starter, water pump, rebuilt alternator.
The stock oil bath air cleaner is refurbished and powder coated.
The carburetor is new from Kaiser Willys.
The exhaust system is. new and refurbished, sandblasted header with stainless exhaust pipe system.
The engine was professionally rebuilt and balanced.
The stock oil system fed the crank shaft last with used oil, now has its own filter.
The transfert case and transmission were both rebuilt with new parts.
A new electronic ignition (Pertronix) was installed.
The steering gear was rebuilt with all new parts.
All drive shafts are powder coated.
A brand new ring gear and pinion has a 4.27 ratio.
There are Warn locking hubs in the front and rear for towing. (This is a very rare part)
Front brakes were replaced with disc units from Kaiser Willys.
All seats have been rebuilt and recovered.
New three speeds heater with defrost.
New tachometer and electric windshield wipers.
Shoulder and lap seat belts and new carpeting.
The soft top is from BESTOP that’s all new.
New 8000 pound super winch.
Brand new tires on chrome wheels.
A full padded roll bar.
