1965 Ford Mustang coupe Resto-mod, Completed in 2011 and now has 4733 miles. It was a full rotisserie restoration of a rust free car from Tennessee.
BODY: This Mustang started as a rust free unit and was taken down to a shell. It was put on the rotisserie and completely stripped. The floor boards and trunk extensions were smoothed and painted black. The entire body was block sanded making this Mustang arrow straight. A two stage sonic blue paint was then applied. It was wet sanded and buffed to a brilliant deep show worthy shine. All the chrome and trim were either replaced or restored to new condition. The glass is all original with the exception of the windshield which is new. Shelby bullet outside mirrors and custom grill with a set of aluminum chrome plated 5 spoke wheels with Bridgestone tires completes the exterior.
INTERIOR: The new Parchment Pony interior is completely restored from the carpet to the headliner. Included is an American Classic A/C, Lokar shifter, Dakota digital dash, 4 wheel power disc brakes, Flaming River polished tilt steering column with a Mustang wood grain steering wheel, power rack and pinion Steering and center mounted emergency brake.
Drive Train: Under the hood is a detailed engine compartment that is home to a 5.0 Ford engine stroked to 331 Cubic inches. This engine is equipped with an Eagle rotating assembly, Edlebrock aluminum heads, Scorpion pistons and roller rocker arms, Ford performance cam, larger throttle body, electric fuel pump. The rear is a 9" Ford Detroit locker unit spinning 3.50 gears. This engine runs nice and cool with an aluminum radiator and electric fan.
Suspension: The entire front and rear suspension has been rebuilt or is brand new. It also has a new gas tank and all new brake lines and fuel lines. This car drives as good as it looks and with the AOD transmission it gets over 20 mpg on the highway. Turn key ready with no disappointments
